Parent Involvement

Parent Involvement Committee

Parent involvement is very important to the health and well-being of a child. As a parent, you are the most important influence in your child's success in school and in life. In this role, you have an opportunity every day to get involved with your child.

Research proves that parent involvement has a positive effect on student success. When parents are involved in their children's education, they achieve more and schools perform better.

The administration and staff of New Day Charter School invite parents to participate in the newly established Parent Involvement Committee (PIC). The primary goal of PIC is to improve school and parent communications; to involve families and the community so that more students reach important educational goals. The PIC consists of interested parents of NDCS students, the Principal, Dean of Students, Guidance Counselor and teacher representatives.

If you are interested in participating as a member of the PIC, please contact Hope Harman, Principal’s Secretary, at 814-643-7112 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
